Christopher Nolan y la espera más larga de Hollywood: 25 años para decir gracias
Pocas carreras generan una narrativa tan cargada de expectativa como la de Nolan y los Oscar. Un director que desde "Memento" ha sido sinónimo de éxito comercial y ambición formal, pero que durante décadas pareció invisible para la Academia.
Los números hablaban solos: antes de la 96ª ceremonia, Nolan había recibido cinco nominaciones a Mejor Director sin ganar ninguna. "Memento", "Inception", "Dunkirk"... cada campaña generaba la misma conversación: ¿cuándo llegará el Oscar de Nolan?
"Oppenheimer" llegó como tormenta perfecta. Tres horas sobre el padre de la bomba atómica, en IMAX con película física, con Cillian Murphy y un presupuesto de cien millones. Recaudó más de novecientos millones — hazaña sin precedentes para un biopic adulto.
Cuando Nolan subió al escenario, agradeció a Emma Thomas con una brevedad que los espectadores leyeron como emoción contenida. Luego habló de los actores, del equipo técnico, y cerró con una referencia a Oppenheimer como figura que cargó con el peso de haber cambiado el mundo.

Thank you. There are so many people who've dragged me up here. Universal Studios, Donna Langley, thank you for seeing the potential in this. Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin, thank you for the 25 years you put into the book that this film is based on. I have so many people to thank. The most incredible cast: Matt Damon, Robert, Emily, Florence, so many others, all at the top of their game, led by the incredible Cillian Murphy. A crew, some of whom have been rewarded tonight.
